Publish your manga in English — in minutes, not months

Mangalocale turns Japanese manga pages into professionally typeset English editions. Built for indie publishers and creators who hold the rights to their catalog.

No credit card required.

How it works

1. Upload

Drop in pages, a .zip, or a whole .cbz. Numbered pages are ordered automatically; you confirm before anything runs.

2. AI pipeline

Each page flows through detection, OCR, translation, and typesetting — with your series glossary applied at every step.

3. Review & export

Read the result side by side with the original, edit any bubble, and export a finished .cbz.

Built for publication-quality output

Glossary-enforced terminology

Character names, honorifics, and series terms stay consistent across every chapter — you define them once.

Side-by-side review

Compare original and translated pages with a draggable slider before anything ships.

Per-bubble editing

Every speech bubble is an editable region. Fix a line without re-running the page.

CBZ in, CBZ out

Upload a chapter as .cbz and download the finished English edition the same way.

Art-safe typesetting

When detection is uncertain, we leave the original art untouched rather than risk erasing it. Your artwork is never destructively edited on uncertain detections.

Chapter progress tracking

Watch every page move through the pipeline with live status, and retry any page that fails.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to own the rights to the manga I upload?

Yes. Mangalocale is built for publishers, creators, and licensees localizing content they hold the rights to. It is not a tool for translating scans you don't own.

What happens when my 10 free pages run out?

Your uploaded work stays in your library and stays readable. To translate more pages, pick a plan — Starter covers 200 pages a month.

What formats can I upload and export?

Upload PNG, JPG, or WEBP pages — individually, as a .zip, or as a .cbz. Finished chapters export as .cbz.

Which languages are supported?

Japanese to English today. That focus is deliberate: one pair, done to publication quality.

Can I edit the translation?

Every speech bubble is an editable region. Review pages side by side with the original, fix any line, and the page re-typesets — without re-running the whole translation.
